Christmas

We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at Mimi and Papa's house.  Hayley and Aunt Holly decided to wear matching outfits to church on Christmas Eve.  Pretty cute!

My precious niece
Seriously can't handle the cuteness and her CHEEKS!

Bathed and ready for bed! Bring on Christmas morning!

Waiting at the top of the stairs for the all clear.

After a wonderful brunch at Uncle Philip and Aunt Ansley's (which I have no pictures of), we headed down to Fayetteville and met up with everyone at Grammy and Big Daddy's.
The annual Cousins Christmas play/comedy hour was a huge hit.  I haven't laughed that hard in a very long time!

Christmas is always so bitter sweet when Chris is not home.  We had a great day, but, boy I missed him like crazy!  We are already planning a trip to Big Bear to go skiing next Christmas.

So thankful we were able to be with those we love most on Christmas this year.

Weekend with My Girls

So I was able to sneak in a glorious weekend with my BFFs from college while I was in GA.  We had a little staycation in Buckhead which was absolute perfection!
Aunt Holly took in the kiddos for the weekend and they had a blast.
Making cookies with Aunt Holly is the best!

I love these ladies so very much.  While were at dinner one night, we all realized that we had met exactly 20 years ago our Freshman year at North Georgia (except Lindsay and I have know each other since we were 8, but that is another story for another day).  We decided to celebrate, and that we did!

We ate and shopped and laughed and shopped and then ate some more.
Pretty much the standard package when we get together.

Jules texting on her phone from 2007.  Hehe!

We were on a mission to find boots for K.  And the very last store we went into, she found some!  Woohoo!

Cheers to 20 years of the most amazing friendship!

Ping Pong

We were a little bit like a ping pong ball during our trip to GA.  A few days at Mimi and Papa's, a few days at Grammy and Big Daddy's, a few days at Aunt Holly's and then we would start all over again.  It gave me a great workout hauling suitcases up and downstairs. Ha!
Our first trip down to Fayetteville, Grammy and BD took us to the Grand Opening of Truett's Luau.  A Hawaiian themed Chick-Fil-A!  No other CFA like it anywhere. They even have mahi mahi on the menu along with other Hawaii inspired items like a Pineapple milkshake.

City That Never Sleeps

NYC!!!
One of my all time favorite places to visit.  What's not to love??  The theater, the restaurants, and the shopping.  Oh, the shopping!!  And for me, the only way to go to NYC is with my sister.  Since she lived in NYC for 18 months and goes there almost 2 weeks out of every month now, she KNOWS the city.  Not just the tourist spots.  But the absolute BEST spots.
Our weekend to New York was so much fun. It started with us jumping on an early flight the night before we were supposed to leave because it was supposed to snow all day the next day.  We pulled up to the Waldorf Astoria around 1:00 a.m. and woke up in the city that never sleeps.

When we woke up the next morning, it was snowing and cold.  So what to do but shop, eat, and go to see 2 shows!! We headed to TKTS in Time Square but the line was so long that we just went directly to the box office to buy tickets.
First up was Beautiful, the Carol King Musical.  My favorite of the weekend (Although all the shows we saw were amazing).

We shopped, shopped and shopped some more eventually stopping in Bryant Park to have dinner at Celsius and visit the Christmas Market before going to see our 2nd show, Pippin.

The next morning Holly had made us appointments at Dry Bar, a salon that only washes, dries, and styles your hair.  It was such a nice treat to get our hair done.  After dry bar, we walked up 5th Avenue and looked at all the windows all  decorated for Christmas.  My favorite windows were at Tiffany's, of course.

We had brunch at Barney's and then headed to Tory Burch.  Note to Chris: these are not all my bags!  Hehehe.  Holly styled me for this shot, and two of the three bags belong to her.

Matilda was our 3rd show of the weekend and oh my word, it was amazing.  Kind of hated that I didn't have the kids with me to see it.  But I did buy the soundtrack and shirts from the show for them.

Time Square at night!

Dinner at Ruby Foo's!  Yummy!

Our last show for the weekend was to see the Christmas Spectacular with the Rockettes.

Fantastic weekend I will never forget with the best sister EVER!
