Easter Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating our Risen Lord, Jesus!  Our tradition of coloring eggs continued and we got some really vibrant colors this year. I hope they always want to color eggs.  It reminds me of childhood Easters when we would color eggs at my Nanny's house.
Chris found out about a restaurant in Carlsbad that is a replica of the Green Dragon in Boston where the Sons of Liberty met to discuss the Revolution.  Who knew we would find some Colonial American History in Carlsbad, CA.  They served traditional colonial food as well as some American faves like the hamburgers!!
On Easter morning, we all got ready for church and headed out for some pictures,  Chris thought it would be funny to do some "behind the scenes" of the photos I was taking.  He took his own pics with my phone.  Love it!  It was a fantastic day of being together!

Our day ended with the best egg hunt ever!  We called it an extreme egg hunt because it was all done in the dark!  Here they are in their head lamps ready to find some loot.

Sleepover with the Smiths Extravaganza

As a Christmas gift this year, Chris and I gave Kelly and Mike the chance to have a weekend away while we took all 7 kiddos to stay with us!
We had the absolute best time!  It was close to Easter weekend and we kicked things off by going to the 13th MEU Easter party and egg hunt.  We all came home with baskets brimming full and a new basket filled with toys and candy from the Anaheim Adoption Committee.

After a good night sleep, we started putting up our tents for our backyard camp out.

Break in the middle of the day for a run to Yogurtland!
