Backyard Fun

Chris is in the middle of "work-up" for his MEU deployment.  What that means is that he goes out on ship to train for 2 to 3 weeks and then will be home for 5 to 7 days before he goes out again.
Since our time with him is so precious before he goes, we wanted to have a little fun just the 5 of us.   We spent one Saturday loading up our cart at Toys R Us with some fun backyard toys and played all afternoon and evening. We had some great quality family time all together.
My idea of a perfect weekend.

Happy 4th of July

We spent the 4th with the Smiths this year.  Such a wonderful time.  The weather was PERFECT (of course) and the company was even better.

The Wilkes Came to Town!

We had such a wonderful time during our visit with Uncle Scott, Aunt Kim, Anna, and Renzy!!  Our days were spent at the beach, the zoo, and of course a trip to eat at Ruby's on the pier.  So thankful for such an awesome family and the time we were able to spend with them.

So the Whole World Will Know...

Luke and Hayley were baptized on Sunday, June 30, 2013 in front of our church (Coastline Baptist Church) to declare their love for Jesus and belief and need for Him as their Savior.  My heart could have leaped out of my chest that day.  I am so very excited for both of them and their decision to follow Jesus.
"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
Romans 10: 9-10

July 1, 2005...

8 years ago...my 7 lbs. 12oz. baby girl made her appearance at 9:14am screaming and shouting.  So hard to believe it was 8 years ago.  A friend of mine recently said that the days are long but the years fly by.  I am finding this statement oh so true.

Hayley was so excited to have her first sleepover with a gaggle of her precious friends.  She kinda got the short end of the stick in the party department last year since we were traveling across country on her actual birthday.  We made it up to her this year with a birthday party blow out.
