13th MEU Christmas Party at Sea World

What a treat to spend the day at Sea World thanks to the Anaheim Adoption Committee.  We all enjoyed the Christmas decorations and of course the animals.  When we got to the park, we went straight to our favorite spot and watched the Pets Rule Show.  The park had a Winter Wonderland Area with "snow" right across from Pets Rule so we made a stop there next.  We spent the afternoon riding Manta (Hayley's first time and she loved it!), riding all of Sesame's Place kid rides for Hannah and visiting with the dolphins.  That evening we were treated to dinner, presents, singing, and a visit from Santa.  Such a fun day together!

Christmas Piano Rectial

Luke and Hayley performed in their 3rd piano recital on December 3rd. They are still really enjoying lessons and improving so much.  Luke played "Joy to the World" and Hayley played "Silent Night."
I tried to take a few pictures after the recital.

As you can see, the boys were all about the laughs.  Tough guys.

Awesome job to both of you!

The Christmas Season Begins

I took both girls this year to see the Nutcracker Ballet performed at the California Center for Arts in Escondido.  It was Hannah's first time and she did a great job.  With my purse full of lollipops and goodies, she sat still the entire performance.  The dancing was beautiful and the story so magical as always.  Love having this special time with my little ladies.  Christmas traditions that I hope to continue every year.

Thanksgiving 2014

So much to be thankful for this year!  Chris is home with us, surrounded by friends and family, health, freedom to worship our Savior, roof over our heads and food on our plates,  Really the blessings are too numerous to list.
Chris organized a Turkey Trot for the entire 13th MEU at Lake Oneil on Thanksgiving morning.  We invited the Smiths to join us and the day couldn't have been more beautiful!

Racers on their marks.

Seriously the happiest girls on the planet!  They bring the fun when they show up.

Uncle Mike and the "Littles"

We got home from the race and began to prepared the house for hosting dinner that afternoon.  We baked, roasted, sliced, and stirred.  Hayley was such a huge help this year with all the preparations.  She made place cards for all of our guests, set the tables, and had games prepared for the end of the day.

Hannah's first taste of Coke!  She is a huge fan.
