Disneyland Round 2

Our second trip to Disneyland this year was with our party of 5.
What an awesome weekend we had!!! We stayed at the Paradise Pier Hotel at the Disneyland Resort and had a spectacular view of the California Adventure Park!

First night there, we swam in the pool all afternoon and then headed to Downtown Disney where we ate at the Rainforest Cafe.

We headed back to the hotel room, took showers and got super comfy in our pjs to settle in and watch the World of Color from our room.
We were able to turn on the TV in our room to a certain channel and hear all the music that went along with the show.
It was spectacular!!

The next morning, we headed straight to CA Adventure where we rode 17 rides before lunch!!!  It was amazing.  My boy, my coaster enthusiast!  We raced to the Tower of Terror and CA Screamin together.  I love that he loves all the thrill rides like I do.

To beat the heat, we went to see Disney Junior Live.
Hannah was in awe and just soaked it all in.  Seeing Doc McStuffins, Sophia the First and Jake and the Neverland Pirates in person was magical for her.  And oh, how I love watching them experience Disney.

Luke was not too thrilled, but really I caught him laughing right along with all the little ones.

Sunshine has fun all the time!!!

The next day we headed to Disneyland and the girls went to meet the Fairies and Anna and Elsa while the boys played.  They went to ride Indiana Jones and Big Thunder Railroad.
Can't blame them, but the girls couldn't wait to meet these princesses!

Hannah, Silvermist, and Hayley

It was HOT!  95 degrees HOT!  And we waited to see Anna and Elsa for 45 mintues!

Almost our turn!!!!!

Festival of Sails 2014

Labor Day weekend was spent in the gorgeous San Diego harbor at the Festival of Sails.  Over 30 sailing ships and one Russian submarine were in the harbor to tour and explore.
It was an extremely hot day for SD ( 90+ temps), but it didn't seem to bother anyone.  Thankful for each and every moment we spend together as our little family of 5.

Mimi and Papa in SD Again!!

Mimi and Papa came to visit us in August.  They try and come out twice a year, but this year we will get to see them 3 times!!!  Woohoo.  They are coming out for Hannah's 5th bday in just a few weeks.

We took them to the famous Corvette Diner for lunch as soon as we picked them up from the airport.  This place is a must when you come to San Diego.

For Papa's birthday we took him out kayaking at the Carlsbad Lagoon.  The weather was amazing (as usual) and we saw several flying fish that we thought might jump right into our boat.

One of our days was spent at the beach on base.  Sometimes I pinch myself when I think about where we live.  20 minutes from our front door to this spot.  Amazing.

Mini golf adventure at Lake Oneil!

And a beautiful sunset dinner at Oceanside Harbor
Perfect week and can't wait to see them again very soon.
