Gender Reveal Party for the Jarratts!!

What a super fun party that we got to be a part of for our very favorite piano teacher and dear friend, Christine.  They are expecting baby #2 and our friend, Jen Bayer, decided to throw them a gender reveal party.  You had to come wearing pink or blue, which ever gender you thought that the baby would be.

4th of July Street Party

We had a fabulous 4th celebrating with old and new neighbors this year.  The entire day was spent hanging out on the street, grilling, chatting, laughing, bouncing in the bouncy house, and ending it all with a bike parade.  Of course I don't have any pictures of the adults.  I have to get better about that!!

Hayley and Elana and their matching outfits.  Precious girls!!

We are a sucker for marketing ploys.

Happy 4th!!!!!

Impromptu Party!

If there is one thing that military families are good at it is the spur of the moment fun!!!  Our dear friends the Campbells have moved on to their next duty station, but we celebrated with style and a last minute FROZEN pizza party.  Sweet Tommy had put up with almost all girls his age for the past two years, and he wanted to say good bye and have a party for his gal pals.
We miss our friends, but hopefully the Marine Corps will have us cross paths again sometime in the future.

Birthday Morning and Day

Birthdays are so super fun.  I truly enjoy celebrating those I love and the growth and accomplishments that they have made in another year.  Thinking back on the day that Hayely Anne made her arrival into our family seems like only yesterday, but the reality of time is that she is now nine.  And, boy, nine year olds are so fun.  I love to watch as God molds and shapes her into the woman He intends for her to be.  Not always sunshine and roses, but thank for each and every moment of being this beautiful girl's mama. Soaking in the goodness of this sweet snuggley girl God blessed our family with NINE years ago.

One BRAVE Nine Year Old

Hayley is at such a fun age.  She is my little creative spirit and she took to party planning for her 9th birthday.  She chose the theme BRAVE, from the Disney movie.  So we held a Highland Games of sorts.  There were two clans, The O'Sheas and the MacDonalds.  Both teams competed in some activities and finished up with a scavenger hunt for gold.  So so fun.  We loved having 10 giggling girls in our house for the afternoon.
Hayley also came up with the idea for her birthday cake, so she took to making it all on her own.  She made two bear claws just like the bears from the movie.
Luke, the incredible big brother that he is, helped her bake.  And little sister got in on the fun too.

Chris giving instructions for the games.

Luke played the part of Mickey O'Shanessy.  He hid in the woods and came out when called to give the girls 3 riddles to solve.  He is such a good sport and played his roll very well.  Irish accent and all!

My beautiful, inside and out, birthday girl.  We love you Hayley Anne.
