Moment to Remember

Some days, homeschooling can be a challenge.  Just like anything else, someone has an "off "day and everyone tends to follow suit.  So I have decided to document those moments that make those tough days just fade away and confirm that the choice of homeschooling is exactly what God has called us to do.

D.E.A.R. time

Me and my shadow (aka Luke and Hannah Beth)  She can't get enough of her big brother.

This picture takes me back about 30 years ago.  I remember doing the exact same thing  with my dolls and stuffed animals.

Loving this precious time I get with all 3!!!!

How Can It Be?

Baby Bear is 2 and a half!!!!!

And every bit a 2 1/2 year old might I add.  She is getting so independent and loves to hang with big brother and sister.  She is loud, loving, and oh so dramatic.  We are working on potty training.  She is getting it, but I am not pushing full force.  I am waiting until we are moved out to CA before the Pull-Ups will disappear!

She loves babies, shoes, singing and dancing.  She still loves Elmo but has recently been introduced to the Wiggles, Dora, and Diego!  And she loves them all as well.  She is starting to get into "dress up" and she loves to clonk around in her high heals.

She is still taking a wonderful 2 hour nap every day and sleeps from about 7:30 pm to 7:00 am every night.  She knows her colors and shapes and enjoys singing the alphabet.  Her favorite school activities are coloring, matching stickers/ colors, puzzles, paining, and reading books.

Not an hour goes by that she doesn't ask someone to play "tea party" or "princess castle".  Her favorite response when you ask her to do something is "not right now, maybe later".  Ha!
Baby girl!  You are such a joy and I love you so very much.

More Sticker Victims...

Hannah is our little sticker artist.  We find stickers all over the house.  Floors, furniture, dolls, stuffed animals...
But her favorite place to put stickers is on people.

Aunt Kim is such a good sport.

Perfect placement on Anna's nose.

Bonjour Butterfly!

Hayley has been in love with Fancy Nancy books since she was about 2 and a half.  We would read them every night before bed and several times through out the day when she was little bitty.  We read "Bonjour Butterfly" for about 2 months straight every single day.  Hayley loved the part in the book when Nancy's grandparents took her to the Butterfly House.
Hayley became obsessed with butterflies for awhile.  There was even a little white butterfly that loved the bushes in our backyard while we lived in Chesapeake that Hayley named Stella.  She would talk to her each time she spotted her outside.  She said it was her pet!

While we were visiting Grammy and Big Daddy, they took us down to Callaway Gardens to see the Butterfly House.  All I can say is fascinating.  Butterflies were EVERYWHERE.  I loved the blue ones, but I never could get a good shot of one.  I was a little freaked out when one particular butterfly flew into my face.  It was so big.  More like a small bird than a butterfly.  I got over it very quickly and enjoyed the rest of our visit.

Here are some butterflies just coming out of their cocoons.

In butterfly heaven...

One of the volunteers placed this butterfly on Hannah.  I think she want to scream but was unsure of what might happen if she did.  She was so still.
