9 Kids and Counting...

We love The Smiths!!!!!!  They are our Marine Corps family.  And we are so so blessed to have them as neighbors again. 

Chris and I did a date night swap and watched all of their kiddos so Mike and Kelly could have a date night without having to pay a babysitter $$$$.  We played, ate dinner, played some more, popped popcorn, watched a movie and had a good ol slumber party.

Can't wait until they add one more little snuggle bundle to their family this spring/summer. 

 

These guys are the "littles" ages 6 and under.  Although Sarah is technically a Big Kid now.

I love that we can use our garage as a playroom in the middle of winter.

These boys planned and built an awesome Lego house.  Best friends, Lego's and a sleepover.

Perfection.

 

Faith and Hayley.  They were out in the backyard searching for "treasure" with Chris's metal detector. 

Can't wait to have them over again.

Disneyland Day #2



Aunt Holly came to see us this past weekend and we used another day on our Disneyland passes.  Beautiful weather, the carousel, Toy Story Mania, Space Mountain, Casey Jr. Train, and 3 rides in a row on California Screamin' for my boy was a day of perfection!!!

Oh, and we happen to see the Mickey on our way out of the park for the day :)

Chris, Luke and Hayley participated in their first fun run and it think they have caught the racing bug.  We got up early and headed out to Legoland where the race was being held.  A little rain and cooler temps didn't keep us away.

Just Another Evening in January

I am really getting used to the wonderful SoCal weather.  And so is everyone else in the family.

 

 

 



Lions and Tigers and Bears... OH MY!

We were so happy when Grammy and Big Daddy arrived in CA.  We had been awaiting their arrival for over a month.  One trip postponed and then another trip canceled due to no seats on the plane for standby passengers, we jumped for joy when they finally made it here in January.

 

We played, went hiking, toured the base, took them to lunch at Ruby's (a MUST visit when you come to see us) in Oceanside, and hit the San Diego Zoo while they were here.

 

Here we are waiting in line to see the baby panda.  We learned that there are only 12 pandas in the United States and we have seen the ones at the National Zoo and now the San Diego Zoo.  The only other zoo that has pandas is in Atlanta and we intend on seeing those pandas the next visit we take to GA!!
