...jump in the pool!!! We had a CRAZY heat wave here in good old VA the past week. When I got in the car after Hayley's dance class, the car thermometer read 109! That is TOO HOT! Needless to say, if we have been outside, we have been in the pool.
When we moved in this house, I was so nervous about having a pool in the backyard. Luke and Hayley were not swimming on their own yet (in fact, they both were very timid around water), and the pool is 4 feet deep plus so they could not touch the bottom. We established some major rules regarding the pool and took several rounds of swim lessons at the YMCA. 3 years later, I don't know how we would have survived the summers without this fabulous pool.
They both are swimming like fish now and we live in the water all summer long. I think we have gotten in everyday since we opened it up at the end of May.
We will miss having this wonderful, blue, cool water just out the back door. But until we go....
We will spend the next two weeks perfecting our CANNONBALLS!
