Welcome to 1 Saint Johns Court.
Please excuse the mess (piles of miscellaneous items in corners). The boxes are all unpacked but everything is NOT put away. We have been in the house a little over a week now and starting to feel a little more settled. The kids keep telling me that it feels like we are just on vacation in someone's home. I guess that is how it will feel for a little while.
I cannot get over the amount of space that we have! It is great and overwhelming. First instinct says go and buy more "things" but I know we will only be here 10 months and the next house will not be this big. So we make do and enjoy our wide open spaces. In short, the space is great!!!!
It is different this time as far as how quickly I want to be settled and into a routine. Since moving again will be here before we know it, I am trying to get everything done quickly so the house is our home. It is exhausting but fun. So here we go.....
For now boxes reside in the garage, but soon my van will live there! So excited to have a garage that I can pull into especially will the cold snowy winters here.
Oh look! Our tour guide has met us at the door. She sure is cute!
This is such an awkward pic of the foyer. The kids love to yell and listen to their echo. GREAT!
To the right is the dining room. Very red and it works just fine. Love my grandmother's furniture fits so well.
To the left as you enter the house is the office. Chris painted this room before we arrived. I really like the green that he picked.
The family room
The kitchen. It is so spacious (an ongoing theme here). I will definitely be able to perfect my cooking/dancing moves in this space.
Random....none of the bathrooms have vanity lights. Just overhead lights. Weird. But it works. This is the half bath on the main level. Having 3 and a half baths is fantastic.
Kids bathroom as TWO sinks! Hooray!
Luke's room
Chris built this awesome desk for Luke to be able to build his Legos and study in his space. Love it!
Hayley's room
Hannah's room
No way I am showing your our room yet. It is a disaster! I will show it to you when it is all cleaned up and presentable.
Steps to the BASEMENT! I think I hear the hallelujah chorus being sung.
play area #1
play area #2
The school room
The guest room. Work in progress. This room is currently the staging area for the 5,000,000 pictures we own. The trouble with moving so often is that everything doesn't fit at every house, but you don't want to get rid of things because the next house might have the perfect spot.
If you come to visit, I promise to have a bed for you. Not a bed of picture frames.
Guest bath
Last but not least, the laundry.
I will do an update post when everything is put away and finished.
Come see us again soon.
Good luck getting settled! Having just done that, all your pictures are very familiar. We were in CT for about 9 months before moving again, so I know what it's like to want to get settled asap because you will be doing it all over again soon. Hope you enjoy all the SPACE! You have a beautiful place.
